Student Grades/Transcripts

Student Grades/Transcripts

Postby nrcev on Wed Oct 11, 2006 5:50 pm

I am in the final of geting our online training site ready using Claroline, and we don't have "real" users/students yet.

Question. How does an individual user/student view his or her course grades?

Is there a way to put them in one central location for a user (i.e. a site transcript), say on the top of the main page. A link for My Grades beside the link for My Courses that will show a user/student grade/progress in each of the courses they are enrolled in?

Now, the user can see his progression in quizz and learning path with tracking in his profile (my user account)

This is great, however, is there a similar tool the platform administrator can use to click on a user in the user list, and see all of the courses and results for that user in those courses?

Thanks,
Tim

Hi,

Yes it is missing at the moment. But we keep that in mind for future developments of the tracking tool. A big refactoring of this tool will probably be planned very soon.

timing

Postby ld_ski on Mon Oct 22, 2007 4:40 pm

Hi

Great idea about an admin tool to look at each student and then see the progress of a student across all the courses. Kind of a centralised reporting in the backend. Also, would it be possible to have a My Results area that shows similar info to the student.

Is there any idea of timing on this? We would very much like/need/use this feature.

Thanks.

It would also be very helpfull to be able to go into a Course, as an Admin,
and get the progress for All students in the course in a single report.

So, progress for a single User for all thier courses

and

progress for a singel Course for all student in that course

I see several postings on the subject of transcripts starting in Oct 2006. Is this project finished or still in progress? If it is finished how do I get it?

Hi,

In progress. It should be in 1.9.

I am still using Claroline 1.8.2 since my server host only has PHP 4.3.

Will there be a tool for this feature for older version users?
